First Deputy Minister Sergey Velmyaykin made a speech during the 53th Session of the UN Commission for Social Development

The 53th Session of the Commission for Social Development was held in New York from 4 to 13 February 2015 at United Nations Headquarters under the priority theme “Rethinking and strengthening social development in the contemporary world”. The Russian delegation was headed by First Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the Russian Federation Sergey Velmyaykin. He made a speech on the priority theme of the session. 

Director of Integrated Analysis and Forecasting Vitaliy Kolbanov also made a speech on the next day on the theme: “Contribution of social development to transition from Millennium Development Goals to Sustainable Development Goals”. 

The Russian delegation also included representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation.
